In support of National Blood Cancer Awareness Month this September, Physique 57 has teamed up with LLS to offer a variety of fundraising initiatives this month. This is a cause close to our heart as this past year NY Instructor and Director of Training, Antonietta Vicario won her courageous battle against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
A note from Antonietta:
“After fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma this past year and just recently learning that I am cancer-free, I wanted to redirect our fundraising efforts at Physique 57 to support an organization that benefits so many others with situations similar to mine – whose lives are forever changed by battling blood cancer. In hindsight, I had it easy and I count my blessings every day. Although definitely an uphill battle, so many others do not have the fortune I have. My heart swells for children with leukemia who I saw on each hospital visit or those with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a disease that is harder to cure.”
Physique 57 has partnered with Society Ties, the young professionals committee of the The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for a month-long fundraising campaign. Throughout the month of September, Physique 57 and the LLS will bring you a series of benefit classes, an exclusive customized tank top and a Physique Speaks event. 100% of the proceeds for these will go to LLS, whose mission is to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
